Hunt For Mystery £12m EuroMillions Winner
The National Lottery launches an appeal to find the owner of
a winning ticket who apparently doesn't know they're £12m richer.
The search is on for a lucky lottery winner who has no idea
they have become a multimillionaire.
The National Lottery has launched an appeal to trace the
buyer of a EuroMillions ticket after it emerged a prize worth £12m has gone
unclaimed since the draw on May 31.
Every line of numbers played on a EuroMillions ticket
generates a separate Millionaire Raffle number, and it is this prize which has
so far gone unnoticed by the mystery winner.
Patrick Lisoire, National Lottery spokesman, said:
"We're desperate to find this mystery ticket-holder and unite them with
their winnings - this amazing prize could really make a huge difference to
somebody's life over the course of the coming year."
Aston Villa and Birmingham
City supporters display
the winning number
The only information being released by the lottery is that
the ticket was bought in the Ladywood area of Birmingham prior to the draw on the Friday
night.
To help jog the memories of people living in the area, the
lottery organised for supporters of two local teams, Birmingham City Football
Club and Aston Villa Football Club, to play together in a friendly game of
five-a-side football.
Meanwhile, Mr Lisoire urged people to check their pockets,
wallets and down the back of the sofa.
The winning ticket - raffle number JRG437445 - will earn its
buyer the prize of £1m a month for the next year.
The ticket owner has until November 27 to claim the prize by
calling 0845 910 0000 or by emailing help@national-lottery.co.uk.
Any ideas if the winner of this draw has been found?
